This is a milestone for the cheese manufacturer just two years after joining.

We at Hochland and the milk producers who supply our Schongau plant agree: In the future, we would like to forego the use of "non-selective" herbicides. In addition, our dairy farmers will only use fermentation substrate from biogas plants to fertilize the fields if this substrate is free of even the smallest plastic particles.

We think this is an important step on our way to sustainability.
 

Since the beginning of May, our canteen in the Schongau plant serves up salads, vegetables, bread and sausages from Herzogsägmühle in the neighboring town of Peiting. With this comprehensive range of regional, seasonal organic products, we take another step in bringing the idea of sustainability to life for many employees on a daily basis.

Many Hochland employees took the opportunity to determine theirs during a special event in spring: This was just one of many activities during the first “sustainability day” that took place for all Hochland employees at the Heimenkirch and Schongau sites.
